SMA Annual Golf Tournament

 Gateway National Golf Links

Friday, April 30th 2010 – Once again, it is time for us to break out that newel post driver and make some body’s life-long dream come true.  For those of you who have never had the opportunity to achieve ultimate fame by smashing a golf ball 30 yards down the fairway with a newel post…well here is your big chance.  In addition to the longest drive with a newel post, there will be several other prizes given out for less than great achievements on the course.

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join us regardless of player level.  We have had many people play in this event in the past that had never swung a club before and they all had a great time.  We will have a scramble format and we will attempt to make each foursome equal in lack of skill level.

We are going back to our older format of having the golf on Friday at the break from the conference.  We won’t miss any of the event and we will be sure to get back in plenty of time for the evening reception and dinner.   Our shuttle will depart the hotel promptly at 11:00 am.

The all-inclusive cost for this year’s event is just $120 per player.

In addition, the course has clubs that can be rented at additional cost.  When registering please also indicate your handicap, if you wish to rent clubs and any players that would prefer to be paired together.

All participants must also register for the SMA Annual Conference

Resources:

The SMA offers several educational and reference materials that can be used to prepare for this workshop. The Stair Codes Visual Interpretations booklet, for example, is designed to simplify stair code guidelines with clear graphics that illustrate technical concepts. Industry professionals can also benefit from the SMA Stair Building and Handrailing technical guides, which are often required for vocational study as they offer vital instruction on how to create safe, comfortable, and elegant stairs. These resources can ensure that you are up to date with the latest industry standards, codes, and regulations—preparing you not only for this workshop, but also allowing you to build your expertise as an industry professional.
