SMA 2016 Annual Conference

Thursday -  April 7, 2016 - San Antonio, TX

Complete Conference Overview

Once again, SMA professionals (of the Stair Industry not of Golf) will engage in what has become the most prestigious tournament of golfing stairbuilders in North America.  Unlike what others may do on the course SMA golf requires little expertise other than those innate abilities to drive with a newel post and putt with a baluster.

Everyone is Guaranteed Fun and welcomed to join in regardless of player level.  Our scramble format is the equalizer.  We will start with breakfast and a bucket of balls,  the chase of the ball, many excuses and perhaps some exaggeration.

The all-inclusive cost for this year’s event is just $150 per player. The course has clubs that can be rented at additional cost of just $45.  Requests to be paired with other players will be accommodated as possible.

Thursday, April 7, 2016 – We will meet with our clubs first thing in the morning to be transported to the course and be back to the hotel in time to enjoy the Welcome Reception.

The all inclusive cost includes,  breakfast, green fees, cart, lunch, prizes and transportation.

Resources:

The SMA offers several educational and reference materials that can be used to prepare for this workshop. The Stair Codes Visual Interpretations booklet, for example, is designed to simplify stair code guidelines with clear graphics that illustrate technical concepts. Industry professionals can also benefit from the SMA Stair Building and Handrailing technical guides, which are often required for vocational study as they offer vital instruction on how to create safe, comfortable, and elegant stairs. These resources can ensure that you are up to date with the latest industry standards, codes, and regulations—preparing you not only for this workshop, but also allowing you to build your expertise as an industry professional.
