Stair Evolution
The stairs are ever evolving and this conference is focused on transformation of stairs including trends that are taking over the industry. We look forward to seeing you in Memphis, Tennessee as we network, learn and celebrate at the 2022 Annual Conference.
The conference kicks off on Thursday, April 28th with the annual SMA Golf event, a fun day for golfers of all levels. Non-golfers will be able to participate in our guided Memphis City Tour which includes a trip to Graceland or SMA members can participate in our Code Level I Certification class presented by Dave Cooper, the SMA’s Code Development Representative.
The Welcome Reception with SMA exhibitors will take place on Thursday evening, and the SMA Auction will be Friday night. The fun will continue Saturday evening with the StairCraft Awards Reception and Banquet, where this year’s winners will be announced!
This year’s learning opportunities are sure to encourage your stair evolution. Our keynote presentation by Zondra Cawien, FedEx Vice President of Engineering & Operational Excellence, will inspire you as she discusses logistics in uncertain times. Our 2021 StairCraft Award Winners will present their “How We Did It” presentations at our General Session, which is quickly becoming an attendee favorite! The breakout sessions will focus on the evolution of stairs, helping you take your business to the next level with Design Trends and Code Compliance, The Women of Stairs, and Dueling Designs. Conference attendees will be have the privilege of visiting Central Woodwork, a provider of doors, windows, stairparts and mouldings to builders throughout the South and a subsidiary of SMA member North Atlantic Corp. These great opportunities are sure to increase your knowledge to help you take your business to the next level.
