Today the USDA Forest Products Laboratory released a Research in Progress report describing their coalition for advanced wood structures project in cooperation with the SMA and Mississippi State University.
More than 60 entries from 12 member companies will compete in 2018 marking the 10th anniversary of the contest. Each year the bar gets raised a little higher as members present their prized efforts to be judged by their peers.
The 2018 contest will feature an “Architects” choice award to be balloted by the design professionals attending the Annual Conference in Santa Fe.
On Friday the closing of the advanced registration discount moved many to register for the 30th anniversary event in Santa Fe. Now at 145 registrants from more than 70 different companies it is expected that registrations will continue to increase as the event is more than 7 weeks away. Exhibitors have increased even more significantly more than 60% over last year.
