Young Manufacturing Company, Inc. is 100% Employee Owned

Beaver Dam, KY, September 1, 2023   Young Manufacturing Company, Inc. officially announced the transfer of all of its stock into an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), making the company 100 percent employee-owned.  For generations the Young family has enjoyed the successes, challenges and relationships built through owning a thriving American millwork business.  The company is incredibly proud of and grateful for their loyal customers, trustworthy vendors, dedicated employees, and supportive community.  Past owner and President Robert Young wrote in a letter to his children, “our success can be contributed to hard work, good luck, the grace of God, and our loyal workforce.”

The current executive team and board of directors believe in the importance of mission and well and developed, executable plans.   “The ESOP provides a way for us to prepare the next generation of owners, our employees, with a long-term plan while not disrupting operations,” stated Sarah Beth Young Hamlin.  “After much research and prayer, there is no doubt the ESOP will pave the way to continued successful customer and vendor relations as well as overall growth, prosperity and longevity for Young Manufacturing Company.”

The shift to employee ownership will help preserve the Young culture while retaining flexibility and sustainability as an independent company.  “The ESOP represents our commitment and gratitude for our employees,” said Scott Young, Vice-President.  There are no planned changes to Young’s management structure or day-to-day operations.  The three members of the executive team, Jeff Young, President, Scott Young, Vice-President and Sarah Beth Young Hamlin, Vice-President will continue to drive the business forward while focusing on growth and additional talent development.

“The ownership is changing, but there is no difference in the commitment and pride we take in making America’s greatest millwork,” stated Jeff Young, President.  “This is a tremendous opportunity for us to strategically position the business for decades of success in the millwork industry and our community.”
